Join our mission to support Massachusetts DV Survivors.
SIS: Our timeline to open our door (TBD)
While our mission is clear, the path to officially opening our doors has been met with the same systemic challenges we aim to dismantle. A lack of initial funding, equity, resources and the slow pace of community collaboration have delayed our ability to secure a physical office and the full resources needed to launch our programs.
However, we are moving forward with a clear purpose. Once funding, board of directors, and networks is secured, SIS is committed to the following immediate steps:
Phase 1: Securing a Foundation:
• A Safe Physical Space: Our priority is securing a central, accessible office where survivors can find support, opportunities, and meet with our team in person without fear of judgment.
• Core Staffing, Professional Development & Training: Recruiting a team of compassionate experts of service providers trained in culturally specific, trauma-informed care to ensure every client feels seen and understood.
Phase 2: Program Implementation
• Launching the Rapid Response System: Activating our "no-wrong-door" policy, allowing survivors to access support immediately without needing a restraining order, unless they choose to obtain one, and without the burden of telling their story and trauma across multiple agencies which can cause them to feel overwhelmed.
• Activating Support Groups: Moving our bi-weekly online support groups from "planned" to "operational," focusing on recognizing abuse, self-care, Healthy-unhealthy relationships, warning signs, healing, and teen dating violence prevention & awareness.
Phase 3: Community & Accountability
• Initiating Intervention Programs: Launching our accountability, prevention-focused programs for those who have caused harm, and the survivors specifically targeting the root causes of intimate partner violence. The cycle, pattern of abuse in marginalized communities.
• Expanding Outreach: Partnering with local organizations to bridge the gaps in the Massachusetts domestic violence system and ensure equitable access to stable housing, opportunities, mental healthcare--wellness, and legal resources are obtainable to everyone who needs them; whenever its needed in real-time.
How You Can Help:
The "Cycle of Silence or limited equity, equality, inclusion, and diversity" is reinforced when organizations like (SIS) lack the necessary backings to intervene and create pathways for victims--survivors and families to live safely, and overcome abuse.
We are actively seeking foundational partners, donors, volunteers, and collaborators who believe that safety should be a universal right" Not a privilege to some.

Why this works: By investing in our launch, cause you aren't just funding a vision or office space; you are helping to fund the end of generational abuse & trauma in our communities one life at a time.
Thank you,
Elizabeth M "SIS" Was founded by a survivor.
